Our trip to MMU- Y6

Today we had a fantastic trip to MMU's Birley Campus to visit their Design and Technology classrooms. Whilst we were there we got to see the stunning rooms that the students work in, as well as their amazing kitchens. 

We were there to plan, design and build our own horse and chariot, ready for our next unit our work about the Ancient Greeks. We used saws and clamps to help make the frame of our chariot and had to think about where we were going to place the axels and wheels. 

We had so much fun exploring the different bits of equipment and even had the opportunity to discuss our designs with the group, thinking about some of the changes we'd make to it in future. 

We loved every minute and would love to return!
