Eco Council
Who We Are
We are a group of young people who represent our classmates and bring forward their views to improve the school and its grounds. We are made up of two pupils from each class from Year 2 to Year 6 one girl and one boy. To decide on the class representatives we hold class elections with a voting box (known as a ballot box) where each child votes for the person of their choice.
Watch the video to have a look at what Mr. Nolan and the Gardening Club have being working on over the past few months. Our school had our very own garden at the Tatton Flower Show this year and the children worked so hard, alongside Mr. Nolan, to create this incredible garden.
What We Do
Our school council has been running for many years now and our achievements have grown each year. At our monthly meetings we decide what we can do to improve our school and its grounds.
We don’t just decide ourselves what to do, our class mates let us know their ideas and suggestions too. Each class has a suggestion box that children can pop their ideas in or they can just come and tell us any ideas they may have.
At the present time we are trying to make playgrounds more interesting with different activities.
